Leila Goodwin
Chronic neck issues led me to try yoga in 2002, and after my very first class I was hooked. I had never felt so energized and relaxed at the same time. I continued my yoga studies in various classes and on my own with videos, trying different styles out until I experienced the Scaravelli style of yoga at Red Elephant Yoga in Fuquay-Varina. I love this style that emphasizes going one step at a time and focuses on finding what works, feels good, and is comfortable in MY body.
In 2007, after 5 years of yoga asana practice and participation in a yoga study group, I used all the things I’d learned from my yoga practice – deep breathing, relaxation, strength, and flexibility (physical and mental!)– to deal with my breast cancer diagnosis and treatment. That experience fueled my interest in becoming a yoga teacher and I completed the 2-year Red Elephant School of Yoga Teacher Training Program in 2011, led by Charlotte Ranz based on the Scaravelli style as developed by Esther Myers.
I enjoy teaching people who have never tried yoga before, as well as working with yogis and yoginis who want to move deeper in their practice. After experiencing first-hand the many benefits of yoga, I find it a great joy to serve as a guide for students to find their own “aha!” moment as they learn from their bodies.

Joanne Wisnosky
I have been a yoga student for the past six years and I completed my 2-year teacher training at the Red Elephant School of Yoga.
I trained in the Vanda Scaravelli/Esther Myers tradition which focuses on the anatomy of yoga and bringing the pose to each and every individual person, not the person to the pose. I have concentrated on working with the senior population and have worked with many individuals with physical limitations. I have learned to adapt yoga to fit the needs of each person, concentrating on balance, building strength to maintain an active lifestyle and providing a safe environment in which to do these things.
I have also taught gentle and level one classes at Red Elephant Yoga and worked with large groups in an outdoor setting, volunteering as teacher for Fuquay-Varina’s Free Yoga in the Park, and volunteering at Windsor Pointe.
In addition to my Yoga experience, I have a BSE in Physical Education with 10 years of teaching experience in the public and private school sector.

Brenda Schnable
Brenda started yoga in 1992 just as another "exercise" routine to lose weight. What she discovered was so much more. And yes, the weight did come off as her yoga journey deepened and continues to this day. She became certified in 2003 at the 200-hour level by the Living Yoga Program and in 2007 she obtained her 500-hour Professional Yoga Teacher and Therapist certification with the Integrative Yoga Therapy Program. Her teaching style and methods integrates and infuses many different styles of yoga
(Viniyoga, Kundalini, Hatha, Vinyasa, Restorative, etc).
Brenda's goal as a yoga teacher is to help people—help them relax, destress, and breathe while building strength, flexibility, confidence, and self-acceptance while her goal as a yoga therapist is to help people on their healing journey or coping with a permanent condition using various yoga and Ayurveda principles and techniques.

Jenny Parton
Jenny Parton began practicing yoga 5 years ago. But she feels yoga has been “in her blood” since her childhood dancing days, and that she just needed to meet it again! In 2006, within the span of a year, she moved from her hometown in Ohio, gave birth to her third child, and lost her sister to cancer. The emotional and physical toll wreaked havoc on her mind, body and spirit. Fortunately, her husband encouraged her to join the local YMCA, where she took her first yoga class. Almost immediately, the postpartum pains, both physical and emotional, began to disappear. And it wasn’t long before she fell in love with yoga. In love enough to be drawn to teaching. Soon she began leading classes at the Y, and there had never been a ‘job’ that made her happier! This was what it was like to “love your job”. What a blessing!
Jenny went on to complete her Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT) training with Dharma Richards at the Yoga Garden of Apex. She received her RYT-200 certificate in May of 2011 and is a member of Yoga Alliance. Jenny continues to teach at One Heart Yoga and O2 Fitness in Fuquay Varina. But, of course, her main ‘job’ is in her home with her supportive husband. There she stays pretty busy being a mother to three kids plus two Jack Russell terriers!
